Short Run Books
Publishers' Graphics can produce a full range of short-run books in styles from traditional to cutting-edge – whether the short-run book project is a backlist title for a major publisher, or the debut title for a yet unpublished author. The same quality craftsmanship is brought to bear on each short-run book we produce so it can be a treasured work of art, or residual profits that keep publishers’ customers coming back for more. We offer a full array of manufacturing processes that allow our customers the convenience of random color pages throughout a short-run book, full bleeds on color or black text pages, utilization of both coated and offset paper within the same book—randomly placed, split runs of soft and hardcover…..and the list goes on! Quality That Shows
Just because you only need 200 books does not mean you should sacrifice quality printing. At Publishers' Graphics we don't allow it. Short-run printing is all we do so we do it the right way. Look closely at our printing samples shown on this page (click on them to enlarge them) and see for yourself: quality halftones, crisp type, dazzling four-color reproduction, high quality binding and durable dust jackets. We insist on quality on every short-run book job. Even though the author's name is on the cover, our quality is throughout the book.
Short Turnaround Time
Short-run book printing refers to the number of copies of a book. Traditionally, 2,000 or fewer. However, at Publishers' Graphics it also refers to the time it takes to get your book from manuscript to bound copies. Very short. Depending on your project, turnaround times can be as short as ten days - start to finish.
Materials and Methods
We can print your short-run book on a huge variety of paper stocks from uncoated to coated book stocks, glossy or dull finishes, standard and archival papers. Publishers’ Graphics not only prints and binds short-run books, we also create eye catching covers and professionally designed text pages. Our graphic designers can create covers from your ideas or we can present you with our own creations. Our graphics department isn’t just for new books; we can take old text pages, scan those in, and either design or scan covers to provide you with the overall look you want to achieve. Whatever you have to work with, Publishers’ Graphics can turn your ideas into a published book.
Production Services
Publishers’ Graphics is both a short-run book printer and a bindery. The printing capabilities include both black and white and color. Our unique capabilities include the ability to randomly place color pages throughout black text (as opposed to just in between signatures) as well as to use a combination of stocks, coated as well as offset within one book (again, without regard to signature breaks) We offer a variety of text stocks that include recycled papers with post consumer waste content, opaque whites and naturals, as well as 10 and 12 pt cover stock. Along with our printing capabilities, we have a full service bindery to bind your books in a variety of choices. You’ll love the quality of work and attention to detail that you’ll receive from Publishers’ Graphics.

One of our greatest assets is the wide variety of products we can manufacture. From a simple folded brochure to a full color smyth sewn case-bound short-run book, Publishers’ Graphics has the equipment and the knowledge to produce a full array of bound books. Our capabilities include soft cover, wire-o, plastic coil, plastic comb, saddlestitched, and 3 hole drilled products as well as perfect-bound hard cover, side and smyth sewn case-bound books.
Data Conversion and Storage
We offer all the ancilliary services you need to complete your book. Need high quality scans of photos or documents? Text scanning of your out-of-print book? Corrections made on an existing digital file? Or long-term, secure digital storage of your work? We do it all.
